O level result and The New Paper
O level was out last Thursday. As usual, the night before is a stressful time.
The result was not as goos as previous year but definitely better than the year before. We are still puzzled why, with all the processes, resources and systems, we still did not manage to maintain the superb result of last year.
Still, I am thankful, we did not repeat the year where result turned south. I am also thankful that science result was good. My Sec. 5NA result was the only subject, after that of Chinese lang, that was good and improved. I am glad that I had left a good parting result for both N level and O level result. Credit goes to God and the students for their hard work. At least I know their future has been helped by science grade.
Anyway, New Paper interviewed 2 Sec. 5NA students. I was mentioned by New paper BUT, they called me Mr Koh Tse Horng!! My second chance to have my name mentioned and they got it wrongly. :S
Anyway, I taught and work hard for my students' futures and not my own glory. :-)
I now pray that God will help them to know what choices to make. Amen

On toe and Sleep
Almost lose my toe/toes today. I was bucketing Hanern from outside a cab and the driver thought I had gotten in the cab (I wanted to sit in front), and move the cab, while I was bending forward to help hanern.
Then I could feel my shoe caught under the wheel. I could not pull my leg back and the cab was moving forward slowly. Of cos, we stopped him to move on. He had to move forward slightly for me to pull my leg away. I suspect my toe was just mm away from the wheel. Thank God.
I didn't lose my toe but I sure lost some sleep. Since the start of the year and the new role, I had lost much sleep. Plus I have to wake up at 5 am to help get Han Ern ready for school. I am .... very very tired and stressed.
God is my help. He sustains me. Amen!

School days for Hanern
He is enjoying himself, though he still apprehensive in the morning. He still wants to me to go to school with him. But I am thankful that he is enjoying himself. He likes the food there, 2 days of sushi and one day of fried rice, at 50 cents!
We are now praying the bus company will make some changes. We noticed that the bus is really crowded and some of them had to stand. And Zuriel has to wait for school bus at 5.50 am and reach home at 2.25 pm! We are praying that God will make the boss of the company to transfer the Ghim Moh students to another bus. That'll cut down another 15 mins, at least.
Lord, we pray that Hanern bus will not be crowded and that the traveling time will cut short, such that he doesn't has wait for the bus so early and reach home so late. Amen.

New New New
2 Jan is a new new experience for me.
Sat with my son on his first day on his new school bus to his new primary school! My son is in pri 1! Poor boy, he had to wait for bus at 5.50 am. Of course, we woke up even earlier than him. It was nice to sit with him on the bus and him leaning on me to catch some rest.
He sat in the row of class 1B. Waiting for the school day to start. Cute that he knew how to take up his story book to read.
It is also the first day I actually moved into my office. It is not ready but I am in the room. More convenient and easier to work with.
Thanks be to God for helping us.
