Lent reflection: measurement of life
Was on a team at HQ recently and we talk so much about assessment and measurement.
Then today's lent reflection talks about measuring life with love.
It is interesting. We measure many things. The waist length - either to buy a pair of pants or to check our success in sliming. We measure the frequency of bus arriving the bus stop. We measure an essay to give grade. Yet, we hardly measure our live.
Jesus said He came to give us life - to the fullest. How then we measure that 'fullness'? Perhaps, love. We rec and give. Joy? How we bring joy to others and recieving joy from God and others. The lives we touch.
I think it is a good idea to spend the end of each day to just measure, how is the 'fullest' of live today.
Dear God, teach me to pause, just to measure my life with your ruler. Amen.
