The cyclone at Myanmer and Earthquake as Sichuan China - bring much heartache. The loss of lives, the leaving behind of heart-broken individuals and families. When I saw the school bags without their owners, my heart goes to the families, the parents... so much pain, disappointment, dashed hopes and dreams, and sorrow.

I am reminded, how temporal life can be. It is so important to treasure what are important. We human are so capable of being distracted from the essential. We get worry about colour of curtain, which brand of bags etc, but we forgot to settle essential like relationship with loved ones, quality time with them and most of all, relationship with our Maker.

Moses said, So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Indeed, I am reminded, to number my days and focus on the essential - relationship with my Maker, family and friends. Amen.
