In memory of my Grandfather
My grandfather was a capable man. He raised 12 children single-handedly. 6 boys and 6 girls. Some gone to uni, one even gone to UK to study and has a PhD. All made him proud by making a honest living. Like him, a honest man. He was a fish monger along Singapore River and managed to supply fish to a few restaurants then. He retired in his 50s when the government wanted to clean up Singapore River.
He did not really retired. He changed his role from one who was making money to one who manages the household, from marketing to cooking, to watching over his grandchildren.
What can i learn from him? Honesty, tenacity, pride.
