Accumulator
Had to clear the house to prepare for our third child. She can't be sleeping with her kor kor and jie jie. So , got to move out of study room for her. Which mean clearing the storage room for stuff from study room to move in.
Can't believe I actually accumulate and keep so much. I hate tidying up stuff and having to dig into history is no fun, it means stirring up the dust! This is no archeologist at work. Arheologists worked for their interest.
The good thngs, we get rid of some stuf which we thot we would use one day. After being in the box since 2001, we are convinced that we don't need them. Some of the stuff are still new and in their oringinal box. We decide to give to Salvation Army. Heopefully, someone else with find it useful.
The whole exercise turned up to be quite spiritual. I realise that very often we don't throw stuff because we feel insecure. We thot we might need it one day. Letting it go is a form of trusting God will provde when we need it. Also, letting go calls for giving up what is not essential. It means living in simplicity. That is an ancient spiritual discipline which is not easy for us, the modern materialistic generation. Lastly, it brings back memory of places we had been and all these places reminded us that God was with us there and here.
