Milestone
10 Dec 2005 should be an important day for Kelvin.
Kelvin is my friend, my former student in my previous school, movie - kakee.
He was one of those students who were closer to me. We went out after school for several times. Even a short trip. I even went to his house to coach him and of course, we chat a lot.
10 Dec 2005 is an important day cos it is his baptism day. Baptism, as Pastor Lynette reminded, marks Christ begining of public ministry, als marks one's journey with God. Faith is no longer private but a public declaration.
I have been praying for Kelvin since he was my student. It was 10 years ago. Almost ten years ago. Prayed for him, talked to him about God, invited him to church, wrote to him about God in email. On one occasion, he went to a magic drama in a church with me and prayed to invite Christ into his life. But he wasn't ready to let his parents know them. But God saw his heart and kept him till today. I am glad that I invited him to join my Sunday Class evangelistic party. It was there he got to know people of his age group and one of them later invite him to church. Cut the story short, Kelvin decides to follow Christ with this public and faith proclamation. He is active in his small group and serve God in various ways.
I thank God that He gave me the chance to sow, pray and trust His Gospel to work in his heart. I am convinced that he who sow in tears will reap in joy (Psalm 126:5). And in Romans 1:16, we are remind that the Gospel is the power of God for the salvation for everyone who believe.
Dear God, I pray that my friends who are reading this too may experience the Gospel of God and His power for salvation. As for those who are sowing in tears, may the harvesting come soon for them. Amen
