Daily verse: John 12:32 (The draw of Christ)
"And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."
When Christ said this, the audiences didn't know that He was referring to His own death - the Crucification. His death on the Cross is an humilation to Him. He was not only a painful death but an insult. I remember years ago when I told my young cousin about His crucification, she asked why He has lost all His power. She actually understood the implication. Christ, the only Son of Creator God, who was involve in the creation had 'gave up' His power to be lifted up on the wooden cross.
Yet, it is through the deepest humilation that He is lifed up. As we go through time that we felt being lowered, we know that our Lord understand our experiences.
The Day will come that all be drawn to Him. Let's continue to press on to honour Him and preach His gospel. He will be the centre of all attention.
Dear Lord, I am so assured that I have the centre of the Universe in my heart. Help me to center my life on You and Your will. Amen
