The usual stuff teachers do is teaching, marking and preparing lessons. This week additions are preparing a new porject I am handling, School Family Education. Planning the 100 hours programme, writing letters to parents to inform them and to get volunteers to go for course, thinking of how to plan the centre layout, etc. Fortunately got sun nui to help me think of a name of the centre,
FLY@west spring, (FLY = Family Life and You).
Then I am also planning for Australia Exchange programme. I am hoping for not too big a group so that easier for me to plan.
Continuing from last year project, Innovation and Enterprise, I am looking for companies to visit as learning journey for teachers. Next week, we meet a vendor to conduct training for I&E Champion (students).
Another chunk of time was meeting with science teachers to discuss about how to make sure science grades will be better next year. Action plan blah blah. At least, no teachers are using excuses but are looking at the problem more objectively.
Got one pcs of good news but not ready to share until when certain date are cross. One highlight for the week! :-) Another highlight was finally I am gonna meet up with at least one NUS friend. TC and I were in the same subj comb in nus, buddy for microbiology practical, both have fair share of contaminating culture/agar, missing steps in experiments, in the same study group, and disciple group (under Campus Crusade for Christ).... we shared many experiences. Glad to meet him soon, 9 Apr. Really look forward to the catching up time. Also, for our children to have new friends! And gonna check whose waistline has progressed more.. haha... and whose forehead higher... HAHA.
Homefront is great! Hanern is more comfortable now with Chinese, though he still tok like angmo. Can't imagine how I let this happen, consider I am more Chinese than english educated. I listent to 933, only know more chinese singers / actors / actresses than their enlglish counterpart but my son chinese pronounciation is like angmo! :S Hanern is more talkative. Certain nights, he is like talking into sleep. He will usually tok and tok while lyng beside me. Then I will fall asleep and I dunno when he slept... but i know he was still toking.. haha. But we are making progress. :-) Karis is getting more playful and i am enjoying it. :-)
OK.. Friday we have stff lunch at NUSS (Suntec). Yay... can shop after tat or swim at their roof top. Whichever, a good change. haha
