A prayer for 18th April
Dear Lord,
I am gonna pray for 2 major decisions that will be announced on 18th April.
The government will be announcing whether it is casiNO or casiYES. I pray that the leaders of the country will act according to the importance of right values over being pragmatic. I pray that it will be casiNO so that less people will gamble away their wealth and happiness and freedom, not just Singapore but the region. So that there will be less heartaches in the families. I know You don't want to see more people under the bondage of greed and sin. You want SINGapore to be a songs of praise be sung and not a SIN-apolis. I pray that the leaders will act according to their conscious. I pray that decision will be guided by moral values and not by economical values. I pray that young people will not lose a model of how decision should be made. I pray that you till 'lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil'.
I pray for the cardinals who will be electing the new Pope. I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them to elect a Pope who is God fearing and God loving. He will defence the Biblical truth with your Words and against the worldview that is from the antiChrist. May the new Pope be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led so that decisions made will reflect what Christ would want us to do unto others. The new Pope will lead the Roman Catholics to seek a renewal of heart and mind to trust in Christ and Christ alone. The people will have a hunger for your words and a passion for those who have yet your salvation. I pray the new Pope will the like the previous, continually engage the other traditions within the Christendom so that your Kingdom here will be extended. I pray that a wave of holiness will flow to the 1.1 billion Roman Catholics.
Lord, Your Kingdom comes, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
