1st Apr is an important day, though it is also April Fool's day. It is suppose to be a day where we make fun of others. Yet, 1st April is also a day of a number of important 'milestones', not just for me but many. Anyway, financial year begins on 1st April.

1st April 1993, I reported to the then MCD for my first job as Community Development Officer. It was my first full-time job! And you wonder if the government's letter was a April Fool's joke. Ha ha. I still remember, i was 'nervious'. Afterall, my first job. The Dy director briefed us and then I was told to report to Bt Batok. Then check on map and read wrongly. I should take MRT to Bt Gombak. Instead I went to Bt Batok. Blur me.. reach there hours later. Anyway, my Head then is now still working with me. He now sells books and supply books. So every few month, he contact me to display books in school. Ha ha.

1st April 2001, I was promoted from GEO1A1 to GEO 1A2. 1st April 2005, I am promoted to SEO1. And until it happened, I was wondering if the Principal was playing April Fool joke on me. So I am promoted to the salary scale a HOD can and suppose to get. :-)... dun ask me how much increment. I dunno... never really keep track. I suppose it is more of recognition of hard work than money that matters more. I mean, I will be upset if someone else who work less and get the promotion.

Today we had lunch and karaoke at NUSS Suntec City. Lunch is not bad and then I am entertained by teachers. I chose the chinese songs room and some teachers can really sing and enjoy singing. Ms Jasmine Chua and Ms Chong Peo Yi. Vincent the new teacher, very cute, sang until got facial expression. haha. For me, I just relax and listen until the 'bell ring'.

Went to Pasar Malam. Bought a train set for children. Hanern was so excited that he kept talking and making story of it that he slept very late today. 11 pm. On the bed, he was tired but could not stop talking about train going up and then down, then tunnel and bridge, lrt, bus, car and animals. haha.... Karis wanted us to buy ball. haha.
