"For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

A day will come when the knowledge of God will fill the earth. Isaiah prohesised this when Israel was in deep trouble. At times it is so difficult to believe that the day will come. I think the faithful at that time would find it difficult. But faith is seeing the invisible.

For us too, when we hear about persecution of church or we think of the task of world evangelisation, we wonder if it is possible to reach the world. The verse reminds us that God promises it will come to pass.

Lord, may the Day come. Amen.
